Happy New Year! Hopefully I can still say that, just about. I hope you had a restful and enjoyable festive season and ready for a new year ahead.

Recapping last few months of 2024

Thank you for everyone who made it to the Studio Fridays Art Fair in Whetstone in the end of October last year - it was great to see you! A lot of work was put into it by my fellow Studio Fridays artists (myself included) in preparation for this event and to transform the studio into a gallery. It was fantastic to see everybody’s work on the walls and spend time engaging with visitors during those few days it ran.

In the last two months of the year I also took part in the St Albans Artists Network 10th Anniversary Exhibition at Marks & Tilt, Southwark Park Galleries Annual Open Exhibition 2024 in South London, and Connect 24 group exhibition at Art of Isolation Gallery in Surrey Quays.

Linden Hall Studio Winter Group Show 2024-2025

It was nice to close the year with good news of one of my works being selected for Linden Hall Studio Winter Group Show in Deal, which is my fifth year taking part in this wonderful exhibition.

This year marks the gallery’s 10th anniversary and it is their biggest winter group show so far with 400 works from 300 artists, featuring a variety of work across the entire spectrum and media of visual art. The exhibition continues for another week, until 31 January (Tuesday - Friday 10 am - 4 pm), so if you fancy a visit to the coast, you still have a few days to check out the exhibition.

Starting 2025 …

The 2025 has started with some exciting news, with February promising to be extremely busy.

Royal Society of British Artists Annual Exhibition 2025

Two of my paintings have been selected for the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA) annual exhibition 2025 that will be held at Mall Galleries in the Mall, near Trafalgar Square from 26 February to 8 March. I feel so honoured to be participating in this exhibition with the members of one of the oldest exhibiting societies in Britain (as well as some selected works from non-member artists) second year running. If you would like to attend the Private View on the evening of the 25th of February, please let me know and I will email you the invitation.

Wales Contemporary exhibition

Another piece of good news is that one of my sunset paintings has been selected for the Wales Contemporary exhibition. Now in its fifth year, Wales Contemporary / Cymru Gyfoes is an international open competition developed by the Waterfront Gallery with support from the Welsh Government. It will take place between 26 February and 8 March at The Garrison Chapel, Chelsea Barracks, in central London (free entry, Monday to Friday 11 am - 4 pm) and will then tour to Wales, to the Waterfront Gallery in Milford Heaven between 21 March and 17 May 2025. If you would like to come to the Private View in Chelsea and say hello on 24 February, please let me know and I will send you more details.

BobCat gallery during February

Finally, during February quite a few of my earlier paintings will be on display for sale with BobCat gallery at Putney Exchange Shopping centre, at Putney High Street, along with wide selection of original affordable artworks from other contemporary artists. The gallery is upstairs and open Tuesday - Saturday, 10.30 - 18.30. Meet the Artist event will be help on 13 February from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
